Description

This is a birthday gift for my father, whom is a fan of Pink Floyd. He, me and the rest of the family and his friends were going to the latest Roger Waters The Wall tour concert in Oslo twice. Once in 2011 and last year in 2013.

I figured, since my father has been quite generous with extra support in money over the last eight years since I have moved from home, I decided that I wanna give something at least.

At first because I was washing the house once a week, then eventually once my mother passed away, I only took in the mail and washed it maybe once every month whenever he was out in the open sea as a chief engineer .
But now it is like once or twice during two months at a time when he is out there. So in a way I am a spoiled "princess" if you wanna put it that way. I guess because, I am the youngest in the sibling crowd of three.

But enough with the explanation, here is the tribute to Pink Floyd: The Wall.

Technique/Medium: Acrylic painting, oil pastels, some hair extensions and pen and paste.

Time: About 1 months and 2 weeks.

Format: Aprox.:100cmX40cm. (I might be wrong, I do not have the painting in front of me at the moment.)

The Wall is owned by @ Pink Floyd/ Roger Waters

Art is made by @ me zabani

The BRUSH STROKES are so GORGEOUS it's almost overwhelming for me to process! Not to mention the colors!

Also the style the Schoolmaster, Wife, Mother, and floating balloon pig in the sky actually look monstrous and terrifying, just the way Gerald Scarfe wanted them to look at the final climax of The Wall! Now I won't be too hard about the absence of the Judge in this painting since it was Pink's teacher, Wife and mother that had his biggest roles in his life (also drawing a giant talking ass and then later hanging the painting on a wall would be awkward)

Now the veins on the floor, they wouldn't happen to be the worms Pink believes are crawling around his brains, yes? Because if they are, it's extremely brilliant, they really are crawling towards him to destroy his emotional wall of isolation!
Pink's " rat in the corner" position really nails the entire piece, fitting in perfectly with his biggest influences chewing and cursing him out!
